Third multi-day trek, this time solo. I joined the last group of the season, there were 8 of us and I couldn't have asked for a better crew. British, Dutch, Brazilian, American, Singaporean minds coming together for a 9-day journey through the Balkans. Crossing borders into Kosovo and Montenegro as we traveled the peaks. The green, yellow, orange and red of the leaves lit by the daily sun. I wonder if those of us who choose to take holiday doing technically nothing but "walking" have a tendency for silence. It had been a long time since I had felt this mentally and physically at peace. Faleminderit to the crew, to Mentor our guide and to the majestic mountains.
